Our Story…
Step into our kitchen and experience a heritage of home-cooked South Indian food. The exotic smells and flavours of curry and slow-roasted spices to tantalise your tastebuds.
Food born in the heart of the home, recipes passed between generations. Mothers and Grandmothers cooking over steaming pots lovingly scribbled their delights into fading notebooks.
It all began with our founder’s grandmother, a quiet alchemist of flavours in Tamil Nadu. Her dishes were a feast to behold.
And in honouring her legacy, we began collecting more to grow into what is today Unavu.
One woman’s passion for home cooking became a curated collection of real recipes from across Southern India.
Made with love and delivered with devotion in Baltimore.

One Man’s Mission For Food
Our founder decided to follow his true calling: sharing the food he loves.
After spending his spare time working as an intern in restaurant kitchens across the East Coast, Midwest and Europe, learning hands-on how to run a kitchen and manage a team, Unavu was born in Baltimore.
